Job Summary

The Thrive Iowa Community Coordinator is responsible for leading the implementation and day-to-day execution of the Thrive Iowa Initiative within the assigned community. This position serves as a key community connector, building and maintaining strong relationships with local organizations, service providers, community partners, and individuals to advance the goals of the initiative.

The ideal candidate is an engaged, energetic, and respected member of the community with a strong commitment to helping individuals and families access resources and services. The position will coordinate monthly alliance meetings, facilitate collaboration among community partners, provide direct services and support to clients, and identify opportunities to strengthen community resources and connections.

Successful candidates will have experience working in social services or a related community-based field, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with individuals and organizations. The position requires someone who is proactive, compassionate, resourceful, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while remaining focused on the needs of the community.

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners including Thrive Iowa alliance partners, local non-profits, state and local government personnel, community business leaders, and the faith-community.
  • Organize and facilitate monthly alliance meetings as an opportunity for the community to hear progress updates on the Thrive Iowa Initiative and to connect with other service providers and government agencies in their community. Attend one alliance meeting in Arkansas to observe the Restore Hope model in person.
  • Act as an expert in the Retore Hope model and processes, providing support to Thrive Iowa Alliance Partners in their execution of the model.
  • Collect and analyze community-wide data, able to articulately present data and graphs to the community.
  • Act as direct supervisor for Thrive Iowa Navigators, as needed.
  • Produce regular updates and reports for publications and grant requirements.
  • Develop and maintain trust and positive relationships with Restore Hope partners and stakeholders.
  • Form new partnerships and recruit members of the community to assist in the Initiative as Primary Providers
  • Advocate for individuals and families
  • Participate in Thrive Iowa meetings and trainings.
  • Promote organization and community collaboration.
  • Conduct oneself in a manner consistent with the professional standards of Restore Hope
  • Serve in an admin role for local alliance social media account
  • Attend statewide Thrive Iowa annual meeting
  • Other job duties as assigned.
  • Standards Compliance: Follow the Standards and the Playbook.
  • Staff Supervision: Conduct one-on-one meetings with each Primary Provider who manages a caseload of 10+ participants:
    • Weekly for full-time staff
    • Bi-weekly for part-time staff
  • Alliance Leadership: Plan and lead alliance meetings according to the Playbook.
  • Primary Provider Support: Schedule and facilitate monthly Primary Provider meetings; provide updates and address required topics.
  • Meeting Records: Maintain attendance records (sign-in sheets) for all meetings.
  • Reporting: Submit at least one participant success story per quarter and complete all quarterly reporting requirements.
  • Social Media: Serve in an admin role for local alliance social media account
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure Primary Provider’s meet all outlined requirements and review progress and compliance documentation during one-on-one meeting.
  • Training: Complete all required trainings in the LMS and meet weekly with assigned Thrive Program Manager.
  • Travel: Attend one Coordinator and one Alliance meeting in Arkansas
  • Annual Meeting: Attend a statewide Thrive Iowa annual meeting
  • Monthly Meeting: Attend Coordinators monthly meeting (in person quarterly) and virtually as scheduled

Job Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree and at least two years’ work experience in social services or relevant field of study.


Preferred Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years’ work experience in social services or relevant field of study.
