The Regular City School Election in Marion County will take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. All regular countywide polling sites (17) will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The Auditor's Office is now accepting Absentee Ballot Request Forms.
October 18, 2023 - First Day Ballots will be mailed if requested
October 18, 2023 - First Day to vote Absentee in person at the Auditor's Office
October 23, 2023 - 5:00 Deadline to request an Absentee Ballot to be mailed
November 6, 2023 - Last day to vote Absentee in person at the Auditor's Office
All Absentee Ballots, whether returning in person or by mail must be received in the Marion County Auditor's Office by 8:00 p.m. on 11/7/23
Auditor & Elections
In addition to elections, Auditor responsibilities include acting as secretary to the Board of Supervisors, preparing Board agendas and minutes, maintaining all official records and actions of the Board, publishing the required legal notices, keeping track of real estate ownership and property tax records, computing real estate taxes, processing beer, liquor, and cigarette permits and also performing accounting services such as accounts payable and payroll. The Auditor's office is responsible for budgets and financial reports on behalf of the Supervisors. They also assist the state auditor's office during our county audit by preparing annual workpapers, schedules, and journal entries.
