Owls have all the “tools” to be successful night hunters. Join the MCCB naturalist to learn more about Iowa owls and their adaptations. We will then hike the trail in hopes of hearing owls. Dress for being outdoors and hiking on uneven surfaces.
You may want to bring along a blanket and flashlight. This program is geared for ages 7+ with a limited number of spaces. Registration will close on February 10, 2026 at 4PM or when filled.

Discover the magic of spring ephemeral wildflowers, then flow into a gentle yoga practice inspired by their grace. Move, breathe, and feel grounded as you connect with nature and cultivate calm, balance, and renewal.
Registration is required by March 10, 2026 at 4PM. Please bring a mat or blanket to practice on. Other yoga props will be provided.
This event is part of the Nature & Yoga Fireside Series. Join us for as many sessions as you would like. The fee is $25 per class; each class will have its own registration.

Learn the basics of how to cook in a Dutch oven and general care. We will prepare delicious recipes and share samples. All equipment and ingredients will be provided. This program is geared for 16+ and the program cost is $12 per person. Space is limited, so register early.
Please bring reusable dinnerware (plate, cup, bowl, and silverware). Participants will help prepare the dishes so don't wear anything fancy.

The Pella Historical Village Museum chronicles the group of Dutch through their journey to Pella from the Netherlands. The Vermeer Mill is the tallest working windmill in North America. When you visit the Mill, you’ll go up five floors. The 22-building village complex also includes the boyhood home of Wyatt Earp and well as many structures which share the Dutch settlement story.
