New Communications & Outreach Coordinator

Marion County Development Welcomes Nora Noonan as Communications & Outreach Coordinator

Marion County, Iowa - Marion County Development is pleased to announce the addition of Nora Noonan as the department’s new Communications & Outreach Coordinator. In this role, Noonan will lead communications efforts, strengthen community connections, and help share the story of Marion County’s unique communities, experiences, and opportunities.

Noonan joins Marion County Development with experience in economic development marketing, business engagement, event planning, and community storytelling. Most recently, she served as Marketing & Business Development Coordinator for the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance, where she led communications efforts, supported business retention and expansion initiatives, and developed marketing strategies to highlight local businesses, community growth, and the stories that set communities apart.

“I am thrilled to join Marion County Development and help share the story of an area I have recently come to call home,” said Noonan. “I have always enjoyed finding the stories that make a place stand out, whether that is a local business, a community initiative, or the experiences that bring people together. Marion County has so many unique assets and I am excited to help bring greater visibility to the people and places that make this county special.”

Noonan earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Public Relations from Loras College, where she also studied Creative Media and gained international experience through a study abroad program in Dublin, Ireland.
