June is Tax Sale Month
JUNE IS TAX SALE MONTH!
The annual tax sale will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026. Any unpaid property taxes are required to be sold at tax sale, even if partial payments have been made. Not sure if your taxes have been paid? You may check tax amounts due and remit payment by entering name, parcel ID or address here: www.iowatreasurers.org.
A list of outstanding taxes is scheduled will be published in the county’s official newspaper, the Marion County Express, by June 5. The tax sale list must be submitted to the newspaper early. Therefore, IF YOU PAY TAXES WITHIN 10 DAYS OF THE PUBLISHING DATE, YOU MAY DISREGARD THE AMOUNT DUE ON THE PUBLISHED TAX LIST.
Important Note: Checks are not accepted for the payment of taxes after June 1. Payment must be made in the form of cash or certified funds only.
